What is Reflexology?

  Mind : Body : Spirit

WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?

Reflexology is a deeply relaxing, non-invasive therapy.
Your feet are a mirror image of your body.  During a reflexology treatment pressure is applied to reflex points on your feet that correspond to specific parts of the body.  Stimulation of these points encourages your body systems to rebalance, alleviate symptoms of illness and reduce stress.

It is easy to let the stresses and strains of life get the better of you.  This is the perfect time for a reflexology treatment.  Reflexology will help release anxiety, stress and pain.  Treating yourself to regular reflexology can promote good health, emotional wellbeing and vitality.

HISTORY OF REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology dates back to Ancient Egypt, India and China.  It became known to the West in 1913 when Dr. William Fitzgerald introduced ‘zone therapy’.

In the 1930’s Eunice Ingham continued the zone therapy work and established reflexology.
