It is made up of two syllables, ‘Rei’ and ‘Ki’, and translates as universal life force energy. It can be combined with other complementary therapies and Western medicine, and its effects can be extremely powerful.
What happens during a Reiki Treatment?
The patient lies fully clothed on a couch in a relaxing atmosphere. You will experience the touch of the therapist’s hands and their slightest pressure on certain parts of your body, which will be non-intrusive.
Patients normally feel deeply relaxed as the energy flows through the body. Some feel heat, coolness or a tingling sensation in the area being treated. Some may fall asleep. Some experience Reiki as colours of pure love. You may feel peaceful or emotional as old patterns resurface.
Anyone can benefit from Reiki healing, from infants and small children to the elderly. Reiki heals at all levels; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Reiki is beneficial in treating internal diseases, emotional disorders, and stress-related illnesses.
